Club Rules
Hunting
1. Hunters must wear blaze orange as well as eye protection at all times while hunting. No ammo larger then #5 shot allowed. Members are encouraged to use
non-toxic shot.
2. Hunters must stay within their assigned ares.
3. Members must check in at the clubhouse before and after hunting.
4. All birds leaving the property must be recorded.
5. No more than 4 guns per group.
6. Hunters must be of legal age.
7. Please pick up empty brass, litter, and exercise care in smoking.
8. All hunting is by reservation and should be reserved 24 hours in advance, and must include the minimum number of birds released for that type of membership.
9. Morning hunts start at 8:00 a.m. and end at noon. Afternoon hunts start at
1:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.
10. Members are responsible for knowing area boundaries and reminding guests of
basic hunter safety rules.
11. Cancellations due to bad weather must be placed no later than one hour prior to
your starting time. Failure to show if not weather related will result in your account being charged for the number of birds you requested released or the minimum as required per hunt.
12. No shooting prior to 8:00 a.m. or later than 5:00 p.m.
13. There are no additional charges for over bagging on released bird hunts. Scratch hunting is permitted where time allows. Scratch hunting will be allowed to harvest up to the number of birds previously released (discount hunts excluded) without being charged for additional birds.
14. All birds under contract must be released by March 31 of the current year.
General
1. NO ONE MAY CONSUME ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES PRIOR TO OR DURING HUNTING OR SHOOTING. Failure to follow this rule will result in your membership privileges being revoked.
2. The club will be closed on Mondays (except on some national holidays), Thanksgiving,
Christmas, New Years day and Easter.
3. No shooting permitted on Sundays during summer months. No shooting is permitted in conjunction with dog training activities after sunset.
4. Members may use the club grounds for fishing, dog training or shooting at the rifle/pistol range, but must call for permission from staff or register in log book located at the front door of the clubhouse prior to commencing activities. Please be considerate of any special events, sporting clays or other activities that may be taking place at that time.
5. Parking is restricted to designated areas only. Do not leave gravel roads or parking areas. Golf carts and ATV’s are ONLY permitted on the sporting clays course.
6. Memberships are subject to revocation without refund for violation of club rules, poor sportsmanship, or misconduct as determined by club management.
7. Members and guests agree to hold harmless Wern Valley Sportsmens Club from liability, bodily injury or property damage.
